The CyberSec Salary Guide is a community-driven salary benchmarking tool operated by CyberSec People Pty Ltd (ABN to be confirmed), an Australian company founded by Ricki Burke. The platform collects anonymised salary data from cybersecurity professionals and produces aggregate reports for the benefit of the community.
Access to salary reports requires you to contribute your own data. This is a give-to-get model designed to ensure the data stays fresh and representative.
All salary data on this platform is self-reported by contributors. While we take steps to verify contributors are real professionals (via LinkedIn verification), we cannot independently verify the accuracy of every salary figure submitted.
The salary data, statistics, and reports provided are for informational purposes only and should be used as a general guide. They do not constitute financial advice, employment advice, or a guarantee of market rates. Actual salaries vary based on many factors including specific skills, certifications, negotiation, company stage, and market conditions.
CyberSec People is not liable for any decisions made based on the data presented on this platform. This includes (but is not limited to) salary negotiations, job changes, hiring decisions, or budget planning. You use this data at your own risk.
You agree to submit accurate and truthful salary data. Deliberately submitting false, misleading, or fabricated data undermines the community and may result in your account and submissions being removed without notice.
Each contributor may submit one salary entry per reporting period. If your circumstances change (new role, salary adjustment), you can update your existing submission. Creating multiple accounts to submit duplicate data is not permitted.
You may not use automated tools, scripts, or bots to extract, scrape, or bulk-download data from this platform. The data is provided for individual, personal use within the platform interface.
You may not republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit the salary report data without written permission from CyberSec People. Sharing general insights or referencing the report with attribution is fine. Copying entire datasets or reports is not.
The following activities will result in immediate account termination and data removal:
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify contributors through the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
